Tuesday nights in The Mezzanine are for the cocktail curious and connoisseurs alike. Muddle and mix with the award winning Mezzanine team and their special guests to try, taste and gain knowledge of different spirits at each event. Every week will be hosted by a different leading brand and their ambassadors, with internationally renowned guest bartenders here just for the occasion. It’s a free to attend the masterclass and drinks celebration all in one night with great music and great people.

Tuesday 29 September – An evening with Mancino Vermouth & guest bartender, Pietro Rizzo

Mancino Vermouth is an exceptional artisanal Vermouth di Torino blended with the finest ingredients to create an original, yet classic, recipe inspired by world renowned Italian bartender Giancarlo Mancino. Used as a main ingredient in most cocktails whether forgotten or innovative. Following the traditions of the original vermouth makers, Giancarlo set out to revive the intricate flavours of the past creating three distinct recipes from a selection of forty types of botanicals, infused with only quality Italian wine.

Joining Mancino Vermouth is Pietro Rizzo, an international renowned Bartender from Turin, who has been working in Hospitality for the last 14 years. He moved to the UK in 2006 to refine his techniques behind the bar, winning several competitions and gaining global recognition. He has often collaborated with some of the top Bartenders and bars around the world. Pietro has a unique style and true dedication to the guest, with his bubbly personality and attention to the detail. After his long experience as Bartender and as Bar Manager in Italy and UK, working with Bars such as Mr. Fogg’s, Barts, Smile Tree, Four Degrees, Looking Glass, Pietro is now the Beverage Director of “Cru Events” as well as looking after Mancino Vermouth & Rinomato Aperitivo as European Brand Ambassador.
