We are delighted to announce that we have received a Gold Award from Green Tourism which represents our commitment to social, environmental and economic sustainability.
Achieving a Green Tourism award means our sustainability practices have been accessed and verified by a world-leading sustainability accreditation partner and shows our ongoing commitment to sustainability practices, our contribution to our community and how we can reduce our impact on the environment.
We were assessed and rated by Green Tourism’s Technical Team, who are trained to IEMA standards, and helped us to highlight our sustainability strengths. Our highlights included: Communication, Awareness, Health & Wellbeing, Destination and Energy.
The Stratford’s Sustainability Lead, Donna McHugh, said “Receiving the Green Tourism Gold Award is a testament to the team, and their dedication towards making the hotel more sustainable. I am proud of all the initiatives that have been implemented over the last 18 months, and I know that in the next year, we will be another step closer to our sustainability goals at The Stratford”.
